Regarding: One with Him Ministry

I am the leader of ministry to the homeless at Vineyard Oak Park, where we host an 
overnight shelter two times a month during the shelter season.  

It is my privilege to include house groups, families and ministry groups as service teams. 

This season, One with Him Ministries, led by Reverends, Mike and Serena McGee and their team served us. 

As with all of the groups that serve, we enjoyed together a wonderful meal and a time of sensitive 

and engaging interaction with our church volunteers and homeless guests. 

Much of what is done in a shelter is “determined by the clock”. 

Guests arrive at 7:30pm, we serve dinner at 7:45pm, clothing give a way and showers from 8:30pm to 9:30pm – then lights out. 

Lots of necessary structure. But when the One with Him Ministry team serves, we can always expect something more.

Mike and Serena walk in confidence of the Goodness of God and in His desire to reveal Himself to those who seek Him. 

They come in the Spirit, with expectation of a response from God – and indeed a response comes. 

The times I personally have experienced this have been “Radically Joyful”.

This is equally compelling and contagious to believers and those “only curious”.

In the context of a homeless shelter, you will encounter every kind of brokenness - physical, emotional and spiritual. People who long for a touch from the Lord and those who are wounded and resistant.

The gifting of each member of the One with Him Ministry team is that they are “real people” with a testimony of God’s Work in their own lives 

– and a transparency about the truth of our shared identity as “lost without Him”. 

They come with hearts that have seen the Work of the Spirit and a wish for others to see as well.

When One with Him Ministries comes to the homeless shelter, people who may otherwise have been over-looked are Healed. 

One with Him Ministries - Participants in this ministry grow in their understanding and experience of the work of the Holy Spirit.

I highly recommend the One with Him Ministries team for special guest teachings, conference or ministry events.
